Organization: Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre - Ontario Breast Screening Program
Description of Services: Designated program focuses on breast screening for early detection of breast cancer.

Screening includes:
  • mammography (x-rays of breast tissue) * screening results are sent to both the participant and their primary care provider
  • normal results are automatically recalled for next screening appointment
  • abnormal results are referred to primary care provider for further investigation, or are referred directly for additional tests
Requirements
Fees: Most services covered by OHIP
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Women, trans, and non-binary people who identify as an average risk 40-74 years * Women, trans, and non-binary people who identify as a high risk 30-69 years
Application: Medical referral required
